The Music, Imaging, and Neural Dynamics Laboratory at Wesleyan University announces a new postdoctoral position in the cognitive neuroscience of music. The position is for 1 year with the possibility of a 2nd year pending continued funding. The position offers training and research opportunities using cognitive neuroscience techniques including EEG/ERP, structural and functional MRI, human behavioral testing, and combinations thereof.
The postdoctoral fellow will work with Dr. Psyche Loui on all aspects of research including, but not limited to:
- Study development
- Data collection
- Data management and analysis
- Dissemination of findings
- Training and mentoring of undergraduates in the lab
Minimum qualifications: PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field
Preferred qualifications: (1) strong academic training in cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, and/or perception and psychophysics. (2) experience with human neuroscience methods, such as those listed above; (3) computing and programming skills; (4) quantitative and/or statistical expertise; (5) skills and independence in scientific writing; and (6) experience in behavioral testing of human subjects.
